Mission Statement

The Moody County Historical Society, a non-profit organization serves the people of Moody County and South Dakota. The Society acquires, conserves, studies, interprets and presents material evidence of life in the county. Our goal is to promote a greater understanding of the history and heritage of the region. The Moody County Museum shall collect objects of historical, scientific and cultural significance relating directly or indirectly to the exhibit and research programs of the Museum. This shall include, but not be limited to, archival materials, archaeological materials, art works and other artifacts which relate to the history and culture of Moody County.
